It has been an unseasonably SMOLDERING spring and summer here in Southern Virginia, but that didn’t stop this gorgeous couple from tying the knot at their family’s Farmhouse last month! And as you can seem this bride chose the PERFECT dress for the occasion! Those delicate straps not only kept her cool (or at least as cool as you can expect to be on your wedding day!) but also gave her a look at elegance without all the glam and fuss! Paired with her gorgeous lace-trimmed veil and low-key jewelry, this look is definitely one to remember!
And can we just say… squad goals for real! I’m a little bit obsessed with these blue bridesmaids dresses! I love how each one is unique and suited to each bridesmaid!
**Keep an eye out ladies!
This mismatched bridesmaid dress trend is HOT HOT HOT!!**
The boots really reflected the Bride’s style… and can we PLEASE talk about these bouquets??? Wildflowers are so beautiful, simple, and I love the rustic look they brought to this wedding! Especially the purple and yellow combination! Just WOW!!
We can’t let the girls steal all the spotlight, though… even though we all know it’s really about them! ?
I feel like every time I have entered the “man cave,” there are three consistent elements: Beer, laughter, and a group of guys being defeated by a pocket square! I’m telling you, this struggle is SO real… it never fails. And nine times out of ten, one poor soul gets delegated the task of painstakingly reading the instructions and folding every. single. square. And when you have a wedding party as large as this one, that is no small undertaking.
Trust me, you want to avoid this catastrophe at all costs. I’ve written a few tips on how to dominate those tiny pieces of fabric on my Instagram! Go check it out, and add one more victory to your list of Wedding Misfortune!
Now that that’s all “squared away” (ha! See what I did there??) would you take a look at these groomsman gifts?? Does it say a lot about me that my favorite groomsman gifts are all beer related?
These rustic wooden 6 pack holders could NOT be more fitting for this Farmhouse Wedding! I love the variety of craft beers the groom picked out, too! And with 10 groomsman, that a LOT of beer, folks. It was definitely a P.A.R.T.Y. in there!
But, aside form the beer and all the jokes, there is always one moment that is my absolute favorite every single time. A lot of photographers love the face of the groom as the Bride walks down the aisle. Don’t get me wrong, that is ALWAYS a special moment. But me? I love the Groom’s face when he is opening his gift from his Bride-to-Be. Emotions never fail to take over when you are reading a love letter from the person you are about to promise your life forever. Doesn’t this just bring on ALL THE FEELS?? Ugh! Excuse me while I get a tissue!
To lighten the mood… let me set THIS scene for you. It’s Wedding Day. Groom and groomsmen are set to take their photos in less than 3 minutes. And here we have our Groom… copying his vows onto a notecard! I can’t tell you how much I love this! Not just because it’s stereotypical… but because it’s REALITY! Haha!!
In the end, though, vows were said. Kisses were given. And a union was formed! And now to the BEST part of the whole day!
Celebration!!
The barn doors opened to reveal so many gorgeous decorations, DIY favors, and a bar for the guests! After sitting in the 90+ degree weather for almost an hour, a nice cold drink was a gift from above for sure! So, while the guests mingle in the beautifully adorned barn, we stole the wedding party for some group photos!
I could not get enough of this Farmhouse! The old porch, the horse fences, and the old trees and pastures in the background! SWOON!
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your big day! Congratulations!!!
XOXO
Jenn
